Just had berber carpet installed yesterday & the dog snagged it already! Is there a way to repair it?
I can’t believe our rotten luck! We have had berber carpet in our Family Room for many, many years and we had never snagged it. We liked the carpet so well that we replaced it yesterday with new ($1500). And the dog was rolling around on the carpet and got his collar caught on a thread, pulling out a loop of about three inches–right in the middle of the room where we walk. I know better than to cut the loop. Is it possible to pull the carpet back and use a tool (like a crochet hook) to re-weave the strand back into the carpet?
I recommend you contact the installers or even the store you purchased the carpet from and ask them to send a professional out to repair it. If it is weave incorrectly it can make the problem worse in the long run. Good luck
