Dollhouse ? Can i use diamond glaze to go over some black and white check paper, for tiles floor in a dollhous?

I know when people make a dollhouse they will print wallpaper and tile floor designs off the internet. I want to do that but want the paper to have a shine to it, as if it was real tile. Do you think diamond glaze will give me the effect of real tile? Real dollhouse tile is expensive. I will print out on some cardstock paper also.
I think it would work out well. Just be sure not to put down too much.
