Vintage German Made
My straight razor's edge vintage says Made in Germany. However, the sheath appears to be bakelite.?
The pod has pictures of the head and shoulders of four women on one side and what I think are German badges or symbols on the other. Does anyone have any information on this razor? Thank you.
Bakelite is a producer of formaldehyde resins, molding compounds and epoxy resins. Based in Germany, which operates mainly in Europe. Before its sale to The Apollo Group, Bakelite was controlled by the Rutgers group, which is part of the RAG group. So that is German and has a bakelite housing should not be a surprise. Have not given us much to go on here. Is there anything inscribed on the leaf? Managers name perhaps?
