What You Should Know About Your Bathroom Sink
We rely on our bathroom sink more than any other sink. It is there for use to wash your face, to spit in when you brush your teeth, and clean your hands after you use the restroom or apply make-up. Can you even imagine preparing for work in the morning and not having a sink? We are so used to its presence that we have no idea what we would do it without it! In this regard, bathrooms seem to be extremely simple rooms. They are large enough to accommodate the features that we need, but small enough so that we cannot fit anything else in there. As long as you have a toilet, a bathtub or a shower, a sink and a mirror, you have the perfect bathroom, correct? Not true. Follow these tips so that you have a perfectly functional bathroom.
1) Choose the right size Bathroom Vanity. The vanity is the cabinet unit that supports the sinks, stores all your bathroom items, and sits beneath the mirror. You must first decide if you want a single or double sink vanity. This decision rests on two factors: the size of your bathroom and how many people will be using this particular bathroom. If your bathroom is the size of your closet, you might have trouble fitting a double vanity inside. Therefore, the decision is made for you: a single bathroom sink it is. However, if you do have the room and there are two or more people using this restroom; do yourself a favor and purchase a double sink. It will give you both a less stressed morning before you take off for work!
2) Invest in solid faucets. Even if you need to cut corners, do not cut corners with bathtub/sink faucets. Nothing is more frustrating than needing to replace the faucets once a year. In addition, you waste gallons of water over the course of months with leaky faucets. Save the environment and your pocketbook when you purchase High Quality faucets.
3) Choose neutral colors for your toilet, bathtub, and vanity. Since these features are more permanent, you do not want to install anything too crazy in case you need to change it later. If you want to add color, do so with accents such as towels and artwork.
