How to Make Baby Shower Cakes at Home – Simple and Easy Way to Prepare Your Own Cake
The tradition of celebrating baby shower, dates back to the 18th century. It was basically celebrated to boost up the morale of the parents-to-be and also to have a joyful get together. The mother-to-be is showered with lots of beautiful gifts. The party is mostly arranged by one of the family members or a friend.
Besides the decoration and gifts, baby shower cakes are the most important item on a baby shower. A well prepared cake at home can show your love for the parents-to-be. It will not only show you love and care for them but it would also cost you little and would be purely of your choice.
If you want to learn making these baby shower cakes then you need to follow some simple steps as follows:
Firstly the flavor of the cake has to be decided; you want vanilla cake, chocolate or pineapple cake. Some people love strawberry cake or plain almond cake. Once you have decided the flavor select the theme of your cake. If it is a boy’s baby shower then boyish stuff like; cars, balls, bears, spiderman, or superman theme is more appropriate. If it’s a girl’s baby shower then dolls, butterflies, honeybee, or animal themes can be used.
After deciding the theme take the required mould and put the batter in it and bake it well. Moulds of different shapes are easily available on the market. You can also use simple round and square moulds and make the required shape on your own.
Once the cake is ready the main step is still to be done which is to decorate the cake with frosting. Spread the cream on the cake and garnish it with decorative stuff like fruits, bounties, or chocolates of different shapes. Your delicious cake for baby shower is ready to enjoy.

Chocolate and Strawberry Cake?
I know I posted a question like this a few hours ago, but I got one answer.
Sooo……..
Anyone know any good recipes for a Birthday Cake that has chocolate (not really extreme chocolate) and strawberries involved (vanilla’s ok too, but everyone loves chocolate!)?
It can’t be too hard because I’m not a master baker- but I’m not terrible either.
I also saw a picture of a cake that looked like a chocolate covered strawberry and it was really cool but I couldn’t find the recipe.

Just buy a chocolate or yellow cake mix, use chocolate frosting. Buy fresh strawberries, rinse well, slice as thick as a nickel, place in a bowl and sprinkle with sugar, stir and let it sit in the fridge. This should be done either early in the morning or the night before you bake cake.
Once cake is cooled and you have applied the frosting, you can either pour on cake or arrange side by side as a design on top covering the top layer. It looks real nice and it tastes even better. If the cake is for adults you can add Chambord (raspberry liqueur) to the strawberries and sugar.
