How to wash the bedding, including the duvet cove, the sheet set and the pillow covers?
Should I close the zipper? Or turn the inside out?
Inside out is preferable for the duvet cover if it is machine washable. Closing the zipper is best, but not essential. Just be careful that you don’t close it all the way, or you may not be able to get it open again if the duvet cover is inside out. I would hang it outside to dry, but if it’s dryer safe then go ahead! Follow the laundry tag instructions for washing water temperature. If you have matching shams, the washing instructions should be identical.
If your sheets were really expensive they may have special laundering instructions. Other than that, washing sheets is pretty standard, and they can normally be washed in any temperature water you like, from cold to warm. I love to hang them outside because of the wonderful smell, but they should be dryer safe.
