What makes your stomach hard as a rock when you're pregnant?
Iam 33 weeks. not in a painful manner. Only contracts and feels like a stone. Perhaps only on one side, or a quadrent …. I had contractions, and I guess it's something like a contraction, but her womb is wrong ways so while that happens it really makes me wonder. It is that lack of water or the weight of the baby moving or a charlie horse in your stomach muscles all stretching and stress? lol. That is 100% Braxton-Hicks contractions. Many women do not feel or notice it at all, but I'm in my second pregnancy and I think they are very uncomfortable. All of a sudden my stomach is tight and hard rock, but not all, usually in a one place. My first pregnancy for a while I thought the baby had just moved and was pushing as hard as he could against me, but then I realized what they were. It is assumed is good practice for the uterus before it actually goes through labor, but sometimes I feel so uncomfortable I have to sit me. Here's a web site where you can read more about them.
