black walnuts and miniature ponies?
i may be buying a miniature horse, but where I would have to keep black walnuts. OK?
Black walnuts are toxic, and even wood chips of black walnut in the beds can cause laminitis. That said, there are many walnut trees, many black on my 15 acres horses have access. In 30 + years of horses here, I never had a problem with black walnut. Are not acceptable, and I think, unless he was kept confined to areas where the helmets were liable to give rise to questions that should be fine, unless your mini was a terrible famine, and nuts were all that was available to eat / bite.
