What kind of pumpkin you use …?
to make pumpkin pie? I live in Australia and would love to make my own pumpkin puree I can make a pumpkin pie (not pumpkin puree can be bought here in Australia in a can). In Australia we have some varieties of squash. Most are common walnut pumpkin (pumpkin or butterntut as it is sometimes called abroad), Japan (Japanese) pumpkin and something blue (I forgot the name). We also with miniature pumpkins. What variety would be best for a pumpkin pie for dessert? In addition, have a good recipe for pumpkin pie? Please share. Thanks!
