The homemade clay is suitable for preparing food in miniature?
Now I'm interested in making food cute as thumbnail food.I Miniature Japanese have been doing some research lately on the clay to make the food in miniature. There are a few shops selling Polymer Clay but is so far from my house. I've been thinking about making homemade clay instead. Any suggestions where appropriate clay homemade recipe that the ingredients are simple find and easy to do? I read about polymer clay, paper clay, air dry clays and clay modeling. But I've been thinking about doing play dough or clay air dried. What is the right recipe? Thank you. * * Arcos (>.<)
Sorry, I have to agree with the voice of others, polymer clay is the best way to go. You can order it online. Dickblick.com I suggest you have the best prices and are very fast on your shipments. My favorite is "Sculpey" here is a link to Dickblicks: http://www.dickblick.com/vendors/sculpey I do not know any homemade recipes for other clay then the old dough art, which not bad for children, but it sounds like you want to do more detailed work? So, sorry, but my vote is for polymer clay. (I've used pulp as well, which I love, but that's probably less available even then polymer clay. But it is nice to work with him.)
