What would you call a ‘Japanese-style’ inspired miniature bear?
I’ve seen miniature bear artists call their Japanese inspired bears ‘anime’. Now I am unsure if this is the right description for them as it means an animation or cartoon. I know of the word ‘amigurumi’ also but this is a label for bears that are crocheted, which mine are not.
Any ideas?
The little crocheted bears are often called amigurumi because crocheting little animals is a fad in Japan right now.
If your bears are japanese inspired, you can just call them plushies, dolls, or anime bears. I have seen all these terms applied to those kinds of stuffed animals.
