It is a Mac Mini a home theater pc acceptable?
looking to add a home theater setup my pc. i love OSX so I would love to use that in my setup, but understand the limitations (First row is a shit). I'm also sure it's more expensive than building a Media Center PC. Does he deserve worth spending the extra money just to use OSX?
No. It is not worth the extra money, especially since most home theater PC is software for windows. The Mac mini does not have HDMI or a blu-ray player, so it will not be able to watch Blu-ray or take advantage of 7.1 or uncompressed audio. Also, you can not upgrade a mac, but if you create Your Own, you can always upgrade the components of blu-ray always 2 or HDMI 9.2 sound or 2 or whatever else you can dream up leaving a couple of years.
