what is a disk image in imovie? I can record HD content on the hard drive to DVD using my external blu-ray?
I have a camcorder Sony High Definition, and have a lot of HD video on multiple hard drives, but I would record some Blu-ray discs. I just bought a Lite-On recorder Blu-ray, and was able to record jpg to a Blu-ray from iPhoto, so I know it works, but I can not figure out how to get some HD content on a DVD. I'm using an Intel Core 2 Duo Mac mini, and have iMovie and iDVD 6 6.
I have an internal bluray burner (Update) on my mac. I can burn data discs (BD-R, BD-RW, all DVD formats.) I can burn DVD videos. But I can not burn a BD-video disc, and I can not play with them. DVD is not compatible with HD, so the best I can do is mail. The good news is that Apple is rumored to include better support bluray in 10.5. I can wait two or three months. But until then the use of data from the BD-RW format keep records of my movies in high definition.
