Hmong Translation – moopie?
So, I have a bet going at work. One of the cooks at our restaurant is always calling us “moopies” (i don’t know the hmong spelling, but that is how it is pernounced). He is hmong and has told everyone else what it means besides me. I know it is some dirty joke. My boss bet me that I couldn’t find out what it ment. Anybody know??
It doesn’t sound like a Hmong word to me. Most Hmong words are one syllable. and dividing it into two words it doesn’t mean anything in Hmong, at least nothing that makes sense to me.
Many Hmong people speak Thai. In Thai it could be หมูพี, pronuonced “muu pee”, which means “fat pig”. (Sorry.)

Le Moulin Rouge Has a Lot to Answer for
In 1889 Le Moulin Rouge brought a new and different aspect in the lives of the citizens of Paris, they made an enormous difference between the thick line lower and upper class. A place where everybody could switch off daily live expectations and its limits.
Le Premier Palais des Femmes goes down in history as the first woman nightclub, where girls were a great joy to their visitors, they amused them and received respect from the upper class. Le Moulin Rouge opened in 1889, it wasn’t just a restaurant, not a pub not something old and dirty but luxurious.
The perfect organisation and place for cocktails, dinner, wine and the best show ever seen, no difference between classes but mutual fun and pleasure. You must know that the lower class never ment anything, they were the scum of the earth, didn’t had any possibilities and never received respect, didn’t had any money, were dirty and mostly very sick. But it all changed, Le Moulin Rouge made a big difference in the history of Paris and still has an effect in the modern daily live these days.
From Playboy Magazine publisher Hugh Heffner and his 3 girlfriend Kendra, Bridget and Hollly, who watched the show while they were having a European vacation trip to Lil Kim, Christina Aguiller and Pink who made a Lady Marmelade nr 1 clip and number seen and heard every part of the world, R&B meet French history and it was marvellous. Last but for sure not least Ewan McGregor and Nicole Kidman as Christian and Satin who touched and moved our harts with a spectacular presentation of Le Moulin Rouge the musical film that hit nr 1 all over the world as the best musical film ever made.
Le Moulin Rouge is one of the best organizations ever existing, the costumes and designs, the lights, the stage, the choreographer, dancers, chefs – nobody leaves nothing to chances, they dot the i ‘s and crosses the t ‘s. For this reason it became a prestigious club where everybody was welcome who had an open minded view on life and wasn’t boring or doll.
