Why does my pot Roast Beef is always dry?
I slow simmer a pot of 2 pounds of roast beef in slow cooker with a can of cream of mushroom soup, 1 package Lipton garlic and herb mixture and a cup of water for 4 hours, never remove the cover and every time he goes Aweful! There is one thing to dry everything and that is salt. You have look at what is in your spices before placing in salt less the better. (Another thing that may have been doing is not adding enough water, usually make the meat is under water, about 1 / 4 inch or less.) And if you have a little salt, add more water, or find some other spices that have the salt, but remains more or less the same as it used to use.
