Home Delivery Take
Newborn: What baby clothes to take for delivery?

I live in Michigan and I am due in January. Most likely we will a couple of inches of snow on the ground. I have lots of sleep, swadlers, onesies long, diffuse hot onesies, hats, blankets, and a fabric cover that goes on car seat. What should I bring to hospital when labor for the baby to go home in?

You'll probably have someone warming the car, right? So the trick is to get the baby from the hospital to the car. I also hope that someone stopped just outside the entrance of the hospital, so this is a fast race. I would put the baby in one piece, then a bed (maybe fleece if any). You will need a warm blanket (and the hospital will give you a little flannel blanket.) A hat is important, but you want things you can check out once you get the baby in the car. You do not want the baby once too hot inside the car. While someone else is driving, sitting in the backseat with the baby so you can judge how hot or cold is the area. I tried to sit in the back with my daughter for several months. It also helped me meet their needs, without trying to jump over the front seat or turn around and distract the driver. Some Native American tribes used to dip their babies in the frozen lakes during the winter so had to get used to the cold. So I suspect that your baby will survive a few minutes of exposure to cold if he / she involved. :) Congratulations to you on your baby and prestigious research to discuss various issues about what is best for your baby! :)
