How much will it cost me to carpet my 1700 sf house? will it cost extra to move the furniture around?
I’m looking for a price range that will include everything. We do have one split flight of steps and only about half the house is carpeted now.
Multiply your square footage of the house by the price of the carpet, and pad. Sometimes the removal of the old carpet is included in the price and a lot of home stores have a “special” on installation, like $199 whole house. Usually the installers will move average sized furniture but they will charge for over sizedd pieces, like armories, entertainment centers and the gigantic furniture that is now in style. The total price also includes hauling away old carpet. Get a quote at the store or by phone and then get it in writing.
