Lookin’ for a 1/2 Inch Miniature Swap!?
I’ve searched many places and I can’t find any websites that swaps Half Inch (1:24) Miniature Items (for dollhouses, roomboxes, etc.). I’m trying to find accessories to decorate my dollhouse that I am constructing and I think I would enjoy trading with other people interested in the art. If you know of any groups or sites, post away ^_^

Check for miniature groups you an join online. I belong to a miniature Teddy Bear artist group on yahoo. Look there for a miniature group.
I am a miniaturist but do not swap at this time. You could try ebay for some miniatures if you cant find swaps.

Did You Know About Wargaming Miniatures For Dollhouses?
While miniatures are very popular when it comes to dollhouses, they are also very fashionable when it comes to other types of hobbies, especially wargaming miniatures. These items are available in a variety of materials such as plastic, die cast, lead, pewter, tin, and metal. Miniature soldiers were originally used to teach different types of battle scenarios. Non-military wargaming was introduced in 1898 when the general public used them to recreate various sea battles.
When wargaming miniatures were first produced, they instantly became collectible items because of the high costs involved in the materials when putting together complete armies. In the 1960s they were extremely popular as hex board wargames hit the market. They remained popular throughout the 1970s and 80s as the miniatures were used for fantasy games and other types of wargames.
Today, there are still several types of wargames that are popular around the world. These include fantasy miniature games such as Warhammer, and The Lord of the Rings. Historical battle games are also in style. Earlier miniatures were typically smaller, but they have grown bigger over the years. Model Ship wargaming is usually carried out with ships that are in scales of 1:1250 or 1:1200. It is a good idea to find items that match if you are trying to build a set.
Many collectors can share their passion for the miniatures by joining a wargaming society or group. This is an ideal to learn about the wargaming world as well as sharing your ideas. Many of these societies host gaming wars and workshops.
You should be able to buy all types of miniatures at specialty stores as well as at collectibles shops and trade shows. They may also be found at garage sales and auction houses. You should also have no problem finding them for sale and/or trade on the internet. Simply type in what you are looking for in a search engine and you should get a lot of results of sites that deal in them.
