how to maintain a doll house/miniatures/display items?
for those who’s collecting miniatures and stuff, how do you maintain it in terms of storing it, keeping it away from dust…? Any particular place in your house that u designate for your mini collectables?
I have one spare bedroom that is my “mini madness” room. That is where all my “stuff” goes to make my minis. It’s a mess, so I keep the door closed!
I display my completed around the house. I have a built-in Corner Cabinet for some of them, others are on bookcases or tables. I even keep at least one at work on a bookcase.
I make sure all my pieces are enclosed somehow. Since I do vignettes (small scenes), I usually have some kind of boxed enclosure to start with. Otherwise, I will use a glass dome for display. This keeps the dust down to a minimum.
