crafting as a career?

i can make some 50 different patterns. for knitting, crochet, knitting, macrame, sewing, beadery, ect. and I can make dolls, socks, hats, headbands, wristbands, etc. but I also will do some small jobs such as harvesting and cleaning, I am writing a science book and a book of a point, and I'm going to be a substitute teacher. I am also good at doing things in the colors of the football team or baseball etc, and also making gay pride merchandise.

I recommend trying to sell across http://www.etsy.com, on e-bay in an exhibition of crafts made by hand. Crafts as a career is possible, but it requires much hard work, time and perseverance. You can even find you have to develop a thick skin as elements that extra thought to go like hot cakes are not as popular as you had hoped and we have to achieve something more. The key, in my opinion, is to identify the "niche" wants to dominate. In other words, do not disperse their quality in each area is affected. Once you have chosen your target audience, the study group of potential buyers what could be interested in products that could find significant, useful or smart and create products that meet their needs and desires. Sometimes, as craftsmen, just do what we want. Totally cool! However, if we want to make a career, we have to do what other people are paid, not just what we think is fair. I design knitting patterns (http://www.mondaymorningknits.com). Some of my patterns are hot, some are not. If I want to sell my patterns, gain popularity and in fact point, I have to get my audience and make sure that what I am designing will actually sell.
