Cane Nail Art
I recently became interested in crafting with Polymer Clay. I was wondering if anyone knew?

Where can I obtain information on how to do (millefiori) Clay canes. Specifically "Fruits" looking reeds like these. These rods are thinly sliced, then used for "nails." There are lessons, tips, links to examples, etc for making fruit sticks (polymer clay), on this page my polymer clay "encyclopedia" http://glassattic.com/polymer/miniatures.htm … This site also has 3D miniature foods, including fruit, but I put the fruit "sticks" here too … FRUIT click on "Food", but notice that are the poles and are three size pages have more information / lessons / etc, but in making all kinds of rods in polymer clay as well as basic how to do things like making smaller rods ("reduce" them), sliced evenly, etc: http://glassattic.com/polymer/canes–instructions.htm … If you want to make canes fruit * * you can use the same kind of kaleidoscopic symmetry techniques used for most of the citrus / etc. poles (click on the triangular, category KALEIDOSCOPE about half of the list on that page) … or you can make images of the outside poles with fruit * / Food / anything for the control of the "image" poles (in the bottom of the list), but many who are not so easy for beginners. http://glassattic.com/polymer/canes–reducing.htm and perhaps http://glassattic.com/polymer/faces_caned.htm: Re http://glassattic.com/polymer/canes-whatarethey.htm using polymer clay canes on nails however, note that polymer clay is not oil based water based, so you can eat in some other types of plastic over time (if clay is raw or no-thoughly has been completely cured). So nothing directly * * playing polymer clay (such as nails, false nails, or finished transparent) should not be scolvent base oil (ie, clean with paint thinner) or be certain types of rigid plastic. The transparent nail polish use fake nails is well as other water-based things, such as polyurethanes, acrylic media, etc. are themselves false nails plastic what might be good to paint first with the specific nail polish to seal the clay, and I'm not sure exactly what type of plastic they are. On the other hand, if you want to put the Cane Slices nails after that are ready, you may want to bake on a slightly curved surface, so that will have a slight curve and fit better (a slightly curved piece of paper or cardboard, or even a glass jar, etc … removed after cooling).
