QUESTION movies!?!?
okay. Iv'e been trying to find a horror movie good for a while. any suggestions. I like ghost or equal to, or clowns or things that come to life films. horror films of any other would be very good. some of the movies I've seen and as every gnashing Freddy, Jason and Michael Myers and movie disturbia that zodiac prom night when a stranger calls [old and new] I know what you did last summer silence claustrophobia killed all the movies all the movies Poltergeist foreigners excorsist house rest stop vaccancy dawn of Wax Jeepers Creepers dead all child's play movies and oh BTK is a good movie if anyone knows?
Japanese horror films are always afraid. Try the original Japanese Dark Water, Ring, One Missed Call and Kairo (Pulse). And The Blair Witch Project (BWP only, no Japanese verion lol). There are tons of J-horror films. Never I saw the audition, but most of my film studies class when the teacher left who played with them, you're an unbearable fear:)
Idyllwild is easy Getaway Mountain in Southern California
While living in or visiting Southern California, a trip to the mountain is more about what you think. The San Jacinto range offers a stark contrast to the warm, arid climate just a few miles away and for that reason, places like Idyllwild is have become popular getaways for people who want a taste of the four seasons.
Not much of a taste, mind you. This is a great place to prove that Four-wheel and see if it's worth the extra money they paid for it. The fact is that residents of southern California, for the most part, it is not necessary at all four wheels.
So in this weekend to go to the windy roads and steep ridges that are 5,000 meters, 6000 meters above Hemet and higher, the nearest town of any size in this part of Riverside County. The community of Idyllwild is located in between the pine trees that Mother Nature has combined with the oak and fir create a powerful attraction for people who are tired of what passes for trees in cities in southern California.
During the winter, most visitors are more than happy to return to warmer climates have been flirting weekend because shoveling snow just is not one of the things that residents of southern California are programmed to do. Many believe that it is better to get the exposure just enough for snow and frigid temperatures are to appreciate why willing to pay the high price of living in sunny Southern California – and then go home.
That's why about three quarters of the residences in Idyllwild being vacant most times. It is a city of holiday cottages – most are now going for over $ 300,000 – and at any given time there are only a few of them is used. Only about 2,000 souls abundant choose to reside in "The Hill" as Idyllwild has become known in recent years despite some 50,000 visitors on a weekend day can make it difficult to find a parking place anywhere near downtown Idyllwild. However, nobody seems to deter – People come to Idyllwild because it is so near and yet so different.
The Yosemite "South", another common nickname for Idyllwild, has grown sporadically for years. There have been some attempts by the major resort developments in the area – ski hills and golf courses were part of some programs – but nothing has really rooted. So today is a mountain village to the ground with some friends willing to brave the elements, and then a bunch more of these weekend warriors Holiday to turn around and head to Los Angeles in sunny Monday morning for work.
No big resorts – the type of accommodation ranging from small motel-type units to "executive vacation homes." There are several bed and breakfast or country inns, motels and cabin offering mini-cabins, mixed with several in the same property.
For our recent trip, we decided to rent a three bedroom "handheld" about three miles outside Idyllwild. It really was as big as a house, but with a cedar interior, two fireplaces and a standing wood stove, this house gave every impression that little was actually a cabin. It was well furnished with a full kitchen and all dishes and utensils, a Living Room with sofa, armchair and satellite TV and a lot deck space to enjoy spectacular – While slightly obstructed – view of the slopes of the mountains and the valley below.
Muir Mountain Vacation Rental we put up with a cabin that was exactly what I wanted – a true mountain lodge is very well separated from any nearby cabins on wooded property that gave us a real sense of isolation. Built just in front of a massive rock, walk a few feet high and can look out on views that stretched until end to the Pacific Ocean. The view from inside the cabin were great, too, and reinforced by the extensive use of picture windows on two upper floors.
On this particular trip we were happy to spend most of our weekend in the cabin. We spent a lot of quiet reading time and only dive in the atmosphere, or play with our five years of age choosing to leave the TV off so I could focus on being a family more than sometimes do at home.
Although it was a January trip, we visited Idyllwild in a somewhat atypical time when there was little snow on the ground and there is no need putting up our own four-wheel drive. The clear blue skies, but temperatures dropped to the 20s at night. We were grateful we had taken plenty of warm clothing. Daytime temperatures were in the 40s and 50s, just cool enough to feel like we're a continent away from our home near San Diego.
We have the pleasure of spending some time in the center of Idyllwild, where there appears to be an endless variety of shops and a steady flow visitors. There were shops selling anything you can imagine and some unusual combinations. California Street Collectibles, for example, sells Christmas ornaments, dolls, Harley merchandise, NASCAR merchandise and – financial planning.
We enjoy a stroll through the streets of Idyllwild, where we discovered these fascinating attractions like the theater of the old days – the "Rural" – showing a movie in three times a day, but leaves the beach bar open for passersby to enjoy popcorn corn with real butter. Down the street is the Candy Store house that there were nearly a dozen people waiting to enter. Even the Ice Cream shop, a few I was enjoying a good business despite the low temperatures.
In the center of the city is the Idyllwild Tree Monument, a 50-foot totem pole that was carved with a chainsaw in 1989 as an effort to save a dying 400-year-old ponderosa pine. The monument depicts an eagle, bobcat, squirrel, raccoon, American Indian, Coyote and the Butterfly and, curiously, is the final resting place of Ernie Maxwell, a long Idyllwild civic booster and founder of the Town Crier newspaper.
Art galleries are also a great part of Idyllwild and no fewer than 17 of them for visitors to go. In fact, Idyllwild is included in a new book "The 100 Best Art Towns in America" by John Villani.
We stopped by the Idyllwild Historical Society Museum, a historic summer 1920 cabin now has exhibits related to the Idyllwild area. It turns out that the area was inhabited by Cahuilla Indians 2500 years ago and followed mineral explorers in the first 1850. Livestock and agriculture are produced a year later, in 1875, was an important operation in wood Idyllwild. The museum also shows the recent history when, from 1920 through the 1960s, several Hollywood movies filmed in the area.
We enjoyed the restaurant La Casita Mexicana, but there were several other dining options. Other options in the area are Greeks and Chinese, as well as meat and seafood restaurants, pizza and more.
When we go back in the summer, we will take advantage of many outdoor activities that Idyllwild has to offer. Lily Rock – aka Tahquitz Rock – is a rock wall high drama visible on the side of the mountain that symbolizes the natural outdoor beauty so prevalent in this area. Some hiking trails for visitors deeper into the forest, including Pacific Crest Trail. There are, indeed, 272,000 hectares have been created and designated as the Santa Rosa and San Jacinto Mountains National Monument.
