Does anyone have the recipe for "bread and butter easy" pickles?
I heard of a recipe once that starts with a huge bottle Polish pickles, then add a lot of things and put them back into the jar and make the best bread and butter pickles.
This is not what you mentioned, but it is the easiest recipe I know of and they taste awesome. 1 large cucumber, sliced 1 teaspoon salt 1 onion, thinly sliced / 2 teaspoon mustard 1 1 cup white sugar 1 / 2 cup distilled white vinegar 1 / 4 teaspoon celery seed 1 / 4 teaspoon turmeric in medium microwave safe bowl, cucumber mixture, salt, onion, mustard seeds, white sugar, distilled white vinegar, celery seed and turmeric. Cook for 7-8 minutes, stirring twice, until cucumbers are tender and onion is transparent. Transfer to sterile containers. Seal and chill in refrigerator until serving.

The bread and butter pickle is a type of brine that is sweeter the pickles. It is also known as sweet and sour pickle. The bread and butter pickles have a higher concentration of sugar. These pickles are not served with meals main course. But they are a part of main course dishes. These pickles are often used in sandwiches, hamburgers and potato salad.
People sometimes confuse bread and butter sweet pickles. However there is a difference in terms of ingredients. Sweet pickles use spices such as cinnamon, clove and pepper Jamaica, along with the vinegar. But bread and butter pickles use turmeric, mustard, onion and vinegar and sugar mixture.
The ingredients used in the manufacture of bread and butter pickles are
1. Large fresh cucumbers (6 nos)
2. Onions (4 nos)
3. 5 cups ice cubes
4. ¼ cup salt (to taste)
5. 2 cups white vinegar
6. ¾ cup sugar
7. ¾ teaspoon turmeric
8. Seeds 1 tsp celery
9. 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
The recipe is as follows
1. Wash cucumbers. Cut the cucumber slices wash. Then cut slices onion thinly washed. Place the cucumber and onion in a bowl and add salt to the mixture. Place ice cubes in the mixture. Leave the mixture for 2 to 3 hours. Change ice cubes as frequently as necessary. Put the vegetables in salt and water mixture makes them soft and therefore allows more rapid mixing. The process making brine is accelerating.
2. After 1 hour, drain salt water and wash the vegetables with cold water.
3. Add celery seed, turmeric, seed mustard, white vinegar, and sugar in large bowl. Heat the mixture to a boil. Stir continuously until then. Cook for about 3 minutes.
4. Sterilize storage jars by boiling the jar and their lids in water for about 15 minutes. This allows pollution and can increase the duration of the brine.
5. Place cucumbers and onions in sterilized jars. Add the vinegar and sugar mixture to the jars. A thin wooden or metal spoon can be run within the mixture to ensure that no gaps or air bubbles trapped inside the jars. Leave about an inch of space at the top of the jar.
6. Seal the jars immediately. Rubber bands can be used to secure the jar lids tightly in place. Clean the edges of the eyelids and the area exterior of jars with a damp cloth to remove any food residue. additional processing is necessary. This is done by boiling the jars in water bath or a bath for about 5 minutes.
7. After jars cool, store in a cool, dark place for at least two months.
8. After this waiting period, the pickle is ready to be consumed.
Therefore, it is noted that to make bread and butter pickles is the same as any pickle, except that the ingredients change. The flavor of this vinegar is equally tempting.
