How I can find a local dealer to sell my art through? I sculpt OOAK dolls and mask.?
I am a very good artist (I've won several awards and ribbons), but not at all a businessman. I just do not know how to find a good gift shop or shops to sell my work through. I live near Indianapolis, IN, USA and some larger towns. My art includes one of a kind (OOAK) dolls and a mask. I hate to use e-bay.
you should do Your Own research. Usually, there are certain areas in a city where a lot of art galleries is, or if there is no center commercial that has this kind of shops. You may consider asking the shops to buy their supplies if that is not online, it would probably be the easiest. Anyway, you have to check out the various shops and galleries and see if items are reasonably similar to yours. A gallery that specializes in Japanese art, southwestern art is obviously not going to be interested in your items. After we made some places it is possible that you can look if there are directions artist presentation website (a series of galleries to do) or ask in the store if they accept the items on the committee and who should contact about this.
