What are the metro stations in Paris have gone out of fashion for Art Nouveau, the signs?

I have to take a picture of an art nouveau metro sign specific in Paris, but not all stations have them. The sign has to look like this: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Image:Paris_Metro_Sign.jpg I can not use the same image because I have to take the picture from another angle. Can anyone tell me the names of any station in Paris, where they have seen a sign like this? Thanks!

Hector Guimard was the architect who designed the Art Nouveau stations. Here is the list: EDIT http://lartnouveau.com/artistes/guimard.htm: I just click on your link and noticed the sign in your picture shows the later style (1908-1920). Display a Val d'Osne post lamp (designed by Dervaux). This particular article and font style can be found at the following subway stations: St-Michel St-Paul St-Placide Here are pictures here: http://lartnouveau.com/artistes/guimard/documents/candelabres/1vo. htm http://www.symbioz.net/index.php?id=15 (down) in 1922, the Art Deco style Lamp Dervaux replaced the Val d'Osne style. The posts can be found Dervaux at the following stations: Belleville, Champs-Elysées-Clemenceau and Porte Dauphine. But the last two styles are not Art Nouveau style.

Rennie Mackintosh and Art Nouveau

Like Florence in the 16th century in Italy under the rule of the Medici, Glasgow in the 19th century was one of the most powerful and richest city of the British Empire.

In the first third of the 18th century when it became the Atlantic to Scotland, Glasgow, as a city on the west coast, was an ideal location for the transport of goods between England and the colonies of the New World and America. Glasgow was the provision in the UK and the rest of Europe in some quantities of products such as snuff, for example.

Then in the 19th century during the Industrial Revolution of the city grew in power and enriched more with a lot of the fortunes of millionaires. The expansion of successive sectors of industry such as production of textiles, glass manufacturing, fabrication soap and, finally, shipbuilding and locomotive building caused increasing numbers of many factories, as a result of population and thousands of new jobs. Its impact was huge industrial reflect the cultural and artistic ambition of the city. Inspired Arts and Crafts movement of William Morris, many of the wealthy citizens and representatives of the middle and upper middle classes are interested in art and crafts and other objects, once the richest families citizens institution or the trustees were able to become artists or talented people.

The most notable public institution at that time in Europe was the Glasgow School of Art, founded in 1845 as a Government School of Design had an ambition to participate and develop the new artistic trends and modern support artistic ideas. Philosophical, cultural, social and artistic activity of William Morris, in the 19th century changed approach to art, the importance of artists and art as a whole in the contemporary world. Many of the artists and craftsmen in the late 19th century came from across Europe brought on by his arts and crafts ideas and began moving to investigate his own artistic inspiration in the natural world, organic forms and clarity of design.

New style developed in many countries of modern Europe as fresh and dynamic way of applied arts. Only during 30 years period between 1880 and 1914, the new art exploded in the works of many artists such as Gustav Klimt and Koloman Moser in Austria, Germany Herman Obrist, Antonio Gaudí in Spain, Hector Guimard, Emile Galle Victor Horta in Switzerland, Belgium and France, Louis Sullivan in the U.S. and Mackmurdo Arthur, Charles Ashbee and Charles Rennie Mackintosh in Britain. Charles Rennie Mackintosh was the main contact ideas of Art Nouveau since the early years of his life as a child and the next as a student at Glasgow School of Art, who recognized his talent as representing individualistic modern ideas, and finally developed his own personal style named the latter as the style or the style of Mackintosh in Glasgow, as a result of his activity in the group "Four", which represented the same ideas in art, worked in the Glasgow School of Art he, along with Herbert MacNair and sisters MacDonald Margaret who became his wife in 1900. Similar to basic principles of Art Nouveau design was influenced by nature with organic lines derived flowers, shells, feathers, insect wings, abstract shapes based on sources of the Japanese, but also influence a simple, linear and clear, even symbolically in the form of remittances.

Su, first architectural commission was the grouping of the Glasgow School of Art and indoor and outdoor in which, Mackintosh containing the main principles of his own style. Macintosh architecture is mainly based on vertical lines, geometric shapes related simple subtle, restrict use, organizational details with their favorite items of rosebuds to act often with female figures as the medallion above. similar participles could be seen in buildings like this one or Windyhill Hill House. Mackintosh interiors have been provided by individual palette, its own color palette, different from existing classical proportions, and decorative architectural details. Mackintosh rooms were described as "white", but in many cases white despite neutral tones were also used, ivory with a sharp contrast with dark furniture, brown or black or other type of architecture, mainly wood or Cast Iron components. classical proportion, half-dado frieze was replaced by simple division of the walls where the main difference between the wall and the top wall connected to roof line was drawn through the upper edge of the windows or doorways. The simplicity of its interior was based on the clarity of form and function practice rooms, as a result, were mild, wistful, with spaces necessary equipment, but sometimes the function of the rooms was impressive effect as in the case of the library at the Glasgow School of Art, where a wooden structure and steel beams in the dark colors, inspired by Japanese construction to achieve the right atmosphere of drama and mystery is dominant. Essential elements of its interior was decorated with drawings used in small and large scale. These elements were ended rhythm in each case.

As mentioned earlier, the curves associated with rosebuds and female figures painted or sometimes geometric elements graphics as squares or strips were used. The repetition of decorative elements such as the stencil and glass panels were the most important features of their internal as a space organized by the use of focal points in the forms of drywall, designed and created very often with his wife Margaret MacDonald, chimneys or plane without traditional fireplaces. Mackintosh furniture is made primarily of oak, was never left on their own appearance, was painted in brown or black or white enamel suggesting the surface of plastic. The forms were simple, to restrict, flat decoration, known in the case of chairs or tables almost geometric shape based on lines vertical, sometimes contrasts with the delicate organic elements in subtle shades of green, pink, purple, silver or gold. Art Nouveau embodied all aspects of art and visual art of everyday life, then the Mackintosh design activity included all the elements inside the home decoration items and textiles as well.

Macintosh Rennie died in 1928, several years after the transformation of Art Nouveau in different art direction as Art Deco and next followed by Modern Art, but its artistic heritage is still existing in our rooms and some of Cassina furniture produced by the company, but above all and modern design principles based on his genius.
