"I can sue a person who tried to hurt me?
We were playing a game of miniature (HeroClix) and joking with everyone. When it's time that the award of fellowships (one in which all non-winners a pair of dice roll to get the prize amount), this guy said he would unite the roll-off, not wanting the other guy and I to win the prize. I then hold him in her arms and said in jest (acting as asking him) that he should not join in because he already has one (figure drawing). He told me to stop holding it and I did. So i won the roll-off, and told the boy if he could hold now (with the intention to give my winner I usually do evrytime i win the roll-off or the game). Then he began to threaten me, up a metal chair and tried to hit me. My other co-players advised me to go to trial because he could have killed me (which is 5'9 "at about 230 pounds., I'm 5'1" 140 lbs.) My question now is, what kind of demand i may have against him?
What do you expect to win to sue him? Security for you? if that is what is then get a restraining order. if you are considering suing to get even get rich or you are wasting everyones time. if you were not affected and no worry that they can do damage in the future just forget about it.
