Recommendation for Gallery’s for Selling Antiques and Antiquities?
I’m looking for a reputable gallery to sell my mother-in-law’s antiques and antiquities. She has a wide collection of pieces including statues and sculptures of marble, bisque, gold, and bronze from all over the world. Once piece is from between 300 and 400 B.C. and it’s marble in very good condition. Also, she has a Greek vase from the third century in extremely good condition and it tells a story through the designs. She also has furniture, Asian art, an ivory handle real samurai sword, ect. She’s looking to sell most of her collection. We’re working with one gallery in NY and have been waiting two years to sell some pieces without even a nibble; I think we’re getting ripped off. I need help please of any recommendations for high end antiques and antiquities gallery? Thanks so much.

Many people have enjoyed collecting things over the course of their lifetime and some have even gone to the point of allowing their collections to overrun their home. Items in personal collections can range from stamps to artwork to cars, for those that can afford it. There are many women, however, who still remember their favorite doll from when they were growing up and have kept that love alive by investing in collectible dolls.
Collectibles are an investment as much as they are a passion for many people. However, not everyone has a ton of money to sink into a hobby. By going online and doing a search, a myriad of websites will be found with full priced collectible dolls, but there are just as many websites with bargains on them.
By looking carefully over the other websites, particularly the online auctions, deals can be found on many different styles of collectible dolls. These websites will not only encompass porcelain and bisque dolls but also plush ones. There is a great demand for plush collectibles and this is reflected in the pricing on the newer websites.
Collectible dolls that are found on the auctions websites are normally much older than the ones found on the standard websites. These have usually been owned by someone either liquidating their own collection or someone who has come across a single piece or two and has no desire to collect anymore.
